To support manufacturing operations through the accurate, safe, and efficient assembly, inspection, and processing of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and associated electronic and mechanical components in accordance with approved procedures, quality standards, and production schedules.
* Operate assembly and production equipment to complete assigned tasks * Perform manual assembly of PCBs and associated mechanical hardware * Prepare components for manual and automated assembly processes * Operate PCB cleaning, curing, and baking equipment * Apply adhesives, sealants, and conformal coatings in accordance with specifications * Use torque tools for controlled fastening operations * Carry out prototype and engineering builds under controlled conditions
* Assemble products in accordance with assembly drawings, SOPs, work instructions, and process procedures * Inspect, test, and rework PCBs and components to defined quality standards * Follow IPC standards and quality workmanship requirements * Maintain ESD (anti-static) controls and handling procedures * Ensure compliance with AS/EN9100 and internal quality systems
* Set up equipment and carry out process-related measurements * Perform basic operator-level machine maintenance * Identify process issues and escalate where required * Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing activities
* Complete all production and quality documentation accurately * Use ERP/MRP systems to transact work orders and production records * Maintain traceability and batch documentation
* Follow all safety procedures and risk controls * Correct use of PPE and safety equipment * Maintain clean, organised, and compliant work areas * Adhere to personal tool maintenance and housekeeping standards
* Job-specific equipment training provided * Ongoing skills development and process training * Quality and compliance training as required
* Experience in manufacturing, production, or assembly environment * Ability to follow technical drawings and work instructions * Basic understanding of quality and safety procedures
* 2-3 years experience in PCB or electronics manufacturing * Knowledge of IPC7711/IPC7721 * Knowledge of IPC J-Standard * Experience in aerospace, medical, or high-reliability manufacturing environments
