Our client, a major multinational organisation, is working with us exclusively in seeking a talented professional to join their Global Payroll Services team on 12-month temporary contract, with a view to extension, based in Cork. This role is pivotal in ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive payroll support across numerous countries, offering a chance to apply cutting-edge data science and systems analysis expertise within a critical business function.
As a key member of the team, you will provide high-quality support and analysis for global payroll systems. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing daily support for SAP HR, monitoring for performance issues, and acting as the go-to expert for technical defects, enhancements, and regular maintenance for Payroll Operations/Processing teams.
- Designing, implementing, and maintaining automated data workflows, specifically using Dataiku, to streamline payroll data processing and validation. You'll apply basic AI/ML concepts (such as predictive analytics and anomaly detection) to identify patterns and optimise processes.
- Developing and maintaining Tableau dashboards for real-time payroll metrics, trends analysis, and executive reporting.
- Working with internal business users, payroll managers, and external vendors to gather, define, and document functional requirements for technical solutions. You'll ensure all documentation is current and compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
- Creating and updating system issue tickets, holding regular calls with internal IT/IS teams, payroll partners (e.g., ADP), and business partners to monitor and communicate issue closure. You will manage timely communication on critical issues to leadership.
- Getting hands-on with systems integrations (e.g., GL Postings, Stock, Benefits, Banking, and other third-party connections) and automating data quality checks and reconciliation. You'll participate in cross-functional testing by executing test cases and supporting the sign-off process for changes moving to production.
- Performing master data management and data audits, analysing and explaining all components of payroll processing, and assisting other analysts and global peers as needed. You must be comfortable handling highly confidential data.
Key Requirements
- Minimum 2 years payroll processing experience for multiple global countries
- Qualifications: relevant finance qualifications or qualified by experience.
- Extensive technical knowledge of payroll systems and processes relevant to system functionality, including experience with Kronos and ADP GlobalView Payroll.
- Strong working knowledge of SAP HR Payroll modules and Workday.
- Proven understanding and practical experience with Dataiku for building and deploying data pipelines and workflows is a distinct advantage.
- Practical experience in creating interactive dashboards and data visualisation for payroll analytics and reporting using Tableau is desired.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with diverse internal and external partners.
