An exciting new opportunity has arisen in Cork to join a well-established multinational organisation. This newly created Director-level position is ideal for someone seeking a role with significant global exposure, working closely with cross-functional teams and senior leadership around the world.
The successful candidate will lead and manage a global team and should be comfortable with international travel, which will make up approximately 10-20% of the role.
The ideal candidate will bring extensive business partnering experience, a proven track record in driving change initiatives, and a history of enhancing customer experience on a global scale.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Order-to-Cash process is essential for this position.
This position is based in Cork and will require hybrid working in the office.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of finance professionals overseeing order management, credit management, billing, cash application, and collections to ensure seamless end-to-end operations.
- Identify, implement, and monitor improvements that enhance both the internal and external customer experience.
- Partner closely with Sales and Operations to ensure efficient processing and fulfillment of customer orders.
- Define credit policies, assess credit risk, and implement controls that support business objectives while minimizing financial exposure.
- Oversee timely and accurate invoicing and collections to optimize DSO performance.
- Collaborate with Treasury to enhance cash management and forecasting activities.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries related to the OTC process, including managing customer surveys and feedback loops.
- Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Drive continuous improvement across OTC processes to support standardization, best practices, and increased efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
- Work with IT and cross-functional partners (Sales, Operations, Treasury) to design and deploy automation solutions that streamline OTC activities.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs), conduct root cause analyses, and implement actions to improve OTC performance.
- Mentor, coach, and develop a global OTC team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related discipline; a professional accounting qualification is highly desirable but not essential.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in Finance and ideally within the Order-to-Cash (OTC) function, demonstrating increasing responsibility across order management, credit, billing, cash application, and collections. At least 5 years must be in a senior leadership role, managing global or large-scale teams and driving strategic initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in ERP and CRM systems. The ability to leverage system capabilities to enhance process efficiency and data accuracy is essential.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally, with an estimated travel requirement of approximately 10-20%, to support global team leadership, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
