About the Role:
We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Software User Researcher to join
our team as a contractor. This role is essential for our immediate research needs, focusing on ongoing projects and gaining valuable user behavior insights.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various research methodologies and excel
at managing research logistics end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
* Familiarity with software research techniques (unmoderated usability testing, A/B
testing, tree testing, card sorting, etc).
* Conduct unmoderated usability studies using tools such as Maze (task creation,
participant recruitment, analysis).
* Lead 1:1 user interviews (script development, moderation, data synthesis).
* Manage research logistics (internal/external recruitment, screening, scheduling,
communication, incentives).
* Collaborate with stakeholders to translate design hypotheses into user testing plans.
* Deliver actionable research insights and integrate user feedback into development.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in HCI, Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field.
* Proven ability to conduct unmoderated usability studies from inception to completion.
* Demonstrated experience leading 1:1 user interviews.
* Hands-on experience with tools such as Maze and panel recruitment.
* Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* A strong portfolio showcasing previous research projects is a plus.
