Senior Construction Estimator - Cork

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join one of Ireland's leading main contractors with multiple high profile projects in Cork. An opportunity to progress into a more senior management role is also on offer.

Position: Senior Construction Estimator

Location: Cork

Salary : €80-85k DOE plus bonus,pension and car allowance

The main responsibilities include:

• Preparing and collating accurate, detailed and timely tenders based on drawings, specifications, bills of quantities
• Secure profitable work orders
• Sourcing subcontractor and supplier quotations
• Analysing information for ambiguity, risk and qualification and seeking clarification where necessary.
• Assist in the ongoing development of systems and procedures used in tendering
• Keep up to date with contractual changes and other developments in the construction industry

Requirements:

• 5-7 years experience in an estimator/QS based role
• Third level qualification in a Construction/Engineering related discipline
• Excellent IT skills with knowledge of MS office suite and QS related software packages
• Ability to work well within a large team of PM's, engineers and other estimators
