This new Payments Specialist role in Cork will be responsible for managing and executing payment processes, while also providing business support. They will work as part of an established Finance team in a leading business in Cork.
This role is hybrid with 3 days working in the office per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and execute system payments in accordance with the monthly payments calendar.
- Reconcile Direct Debit accounts and coordinate meetings with suppliers and relevant internal divisions to resolve any account-related issues.
- Conduct monthly reviews of the Accounts Payable ledger, addressing and resolving any issues in collaboration with suppliers and divisional colleagues.
- Handle supplier inquiries regarding outstanding invoices and payments.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Complete the monthly Compliance Report.
- Oversee supplier requests for early payment.
- Process audit confirmation requests from suppliers.
- Support the identification and implementation of continuous improvement projects to standardize and enhance process efficiency.
- Contribute to a culture of service excellence and support the development of a high-performance environment.
- Participate in training and development, both in your own process area and across other areas within Accounts Payable.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a Finance department, with specific experience in Accounts Payable and working with diverse stakeholder groups.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and deliver high-quality results.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Experience working as part of a project team, including project testing.
- Excellent communication skills with a proven track record of delivering high-quality services.
- A positive, flexible, and proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Relevant third-level qualification or equivalent.
