Practice Accountant

Morgan McKinley has partnered with a Cork based Accounting practice to hire an Accountant. In this position you will be responsible for a wide range of SME clients focusing on audit, tax and accounts preparation.

**Please note this position is 100% on site and requires the successful candidate to have experience with Irish corporate and personal tax returns.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing working papers and financial statements in accordance with applicable standards and internal procedures
• Leading and conducting audits across a broad client base, in line with auditing standards and best practices
• Preparing corporate and personal tax returns
• Investigating issues identified during engagements and proposing effective solutions
• Developing and maintaining strong, professional relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients
• Delivering high-quality work in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
• Meeting fee targets for your assigned client portfolio
• Preparing technical documentation, briefs, and checklists for both internal team use and client support

What We're Looking For:

• 3-5 years of experience in an Irish accounting practice
• ACA or ACCA qualification (or in progress)
• Strong technical knowledge of current accounting and auditing standards
• Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present clearly and confidently
• A proactive, self-motivated individual with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
