A leading Irish engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Estimator to support high-value mechanical projects. You'll be responsible for preparing detailed estimates, managing tenders, and providing accurate cost analysis to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and competitively.
What You'll Do:

Prepare and collate tenders based on project scope, plans, and specifications.

Quantify materials, plant, and labour requirements.

Analyse subcontractor quotations, identify inclusions/exclusions, and negotiate pricing.

Prepare cost reports, procurement schedules, and tender presentations.

Support the handover of estimates to the project team.

Review work practices periodically to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Who We're Looking For:

Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.

2-5+ years' experience as a Mechanical Estimator on M&E projects.

Experience in Ireland or the UK is advantageous.

Strong knowledge of piping measures, isometrics, and P&IDs.

Excellent communication, time management, and Excel skills.

Experience with FileMake Pro is a plus.
