Build something from the ground up.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced laboratory quality professional to play a pivotal role in one of the most exciting greenfield manufacturing projects in Ireland.
Our client is investing in a state-of-the-art production facility, and they're looking for a Quality Lead - Laboratory to take ownership of the laboratory function from concept through to commercial production. You'll have the opportunity to influence laboratory design, lead commissioning and validation activities, build the team, and create the systems that will underpin world-class quality standards from day one.
If you've ever wanted to say, "I built that lab," this is your chance.
The Opportunity
As the Laboratory Quality Lead, you'll be at the heart of the project, working alongside engineering, operations and quality teams to establish a brand-new laboratory capable of supporting a highly regulated manufacturing environment.
From equipment qualification and method validation through to ISO 17025 readiness and team development, you'll shape every aspect of the laboratory operation before the first product leaves the site.
This is much more than a laboratory management role-it's an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the design, commissioning and validation of a brand-new quality control laboratory.
Develop laboratory systems, procedures and quality documentation to support commercial production.
Drive equipment qualification, method validation and laboratory readiness activities.
Ensure compliance with ISO 17025, GMP and relevant regulatory standards.
Collaborate with global technical experts and cross-functional project teams.
Recruit, develop and mentor a high-performing laboratory team.
Introduce robust KPIs, quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Support factory validation activities through analytical testing and technical expertise.
What We're Looking For
You'll be an experienced laboratory or quality professional who thrives on building new processes and enjoys working in project environments.
You'll ideally bring:
A degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline.
Significant experience (10 + years) within food, pharmaceutical or other regulated manufacturing environments.
Strong knowledge and application of laboratory validation, qualification and quality management systems.
Experience with laboratory start-ups, commissioning or greenfield/brownfield projects would be highly advantageous.
Knowledge of ISO 17025 and regulatory compliance.
Excellent leadership, stakeholder management and project management skills.
A passion for continuous improvement and delivering operational excellence.
Why Apply?
This role offers the chance to be involved from the very beginning of an exciting manufacturing investment. Rather than stepping into an established operation, you'll have the opportunity to influence laboratory design, implement best-in-class systems, build your own team and see the project through from construction and validation to successful product launch.
If you're looking for a career-defining role where your expertise will have a lasting impact, we'd love to hear from you.
Apply today to discuss this exciting opportunity in confidence.
