About the Role
On behalf on my client I'm seeking an experienced, permanent IT Project Manager to join their team in Cork on a flexible hybrid basis. In this role, you will lead the delivery of business-critical technology and modern workplace initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with minimal operational risk.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Delivery: Lead diverse IT projects through the entire lifecycle, from business case and scoping to successful deployment and operational handover.
- Project Governance: Proactively manage project scope, resource allocation, budgets, schedules, risks, and dependencies.
- Delivery Frameworks: Utilize appropriate project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) tailored to the needs of each initiative.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner closely with internal Product Owners, IT teams, and business business units to align project delivery with strategic goals.
- Change Management: Integrate structured business change management practices into project delivery to ensure smooth user adoption and minimal disruption.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3+ years of proven experience successfully managing and delivering IT projects in a corporate environment.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience managing general IT infrastructure, software, or digital transformation projects.
- Qualifications: A recognized certification in Project Management or Agile frameworks (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum).
- Education: A degree in IT, Business, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Skills: Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to navigate organizational complexity.
Desirable Criteria
- Exposure to structured Business Change Management methodologies.
- Experience working within a structured PMO environment using PPM tools.
- A proactive interest in emerging technologies and continuous process improvement.
