We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Scientist to join an ever-growing company located in Cork. This position offers a dynamic opportunity for individuals with a strong background in water treatment, who are passionate about environmental process optimisation.

Key Responsibilities
- Travel to various water and wastewater treatment facilities within the Munster area to perform operational and technical duties.
- Conduct inspections, sampling, and analysis of water and wastewater treatment processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site process issues, identifying and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Operate treatment plants and support routine and emergency operations as needed.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including process, mechanical, and operational personnel.
- Calibrate, maintain, and operate laboratory and field monitoring equipment.
- Monitor and interpret data.
- Participate in training and professional development relevant to the role.
Skills and Competencies
- Demonstrated experience in water and wastewater treatment processes necessary.
- Water testing experience.
- Provin experience with process optimisation.
- Strong analytical and laboratory skills.
- Proficiency in standard PC applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word).
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Engineering, or a related discipline (additional training will be provided).
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in water or wastewater process optimization.
- Full, clean driving licence (required for travel to various sites).
