Corporate Finance and Strategy Analyst

My client is seeking a high-calibre Strategic Finance Analyst to support growth initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, and long-term value creation projects. This role offers exposure to senior decision-making and the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the assessment, execution, and monitoring of acquisitions, joint ventures, and strategic investments.
• Build and review financial models, valuations, and scenario analyses to support investment decisions.
• Assist with financial and commercial due diligence activities.
• Prepare high-quality materials, including investment papers, business cases, and presentations for senior leadership.
• Conduct market, competitor, and sector research to identify growth opportunities and strategic risks.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, legal, operations, and other functions, as well as external advisers.
• Contribute to broader corporate strategy initiatives, including long-range planning and transformation projects.
• Track transaction outcomes and support post-deal integration analysis.
• Provide analytical and presentation support for senior leadership and stakeholder communications when required.

Candidate Profile

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience gained in one or more of the following:
  • Transaction services, corporate finance, or restructuring
  • In-house corporate development or M&A
  • Strategy consulting or investment banking
• Strong financial analysis and modelling capability, with advanced Excel skills and solid PowerPoint proficiency.
• Hands-on experience with valuation methodologies, deal analysis, and transaction processes.
• Robust understanding of financial statements, accounting standards, and corporate finance principles.
• Clear and confident communicator, able to distil complex information for senior audiences.
• Strong research skills with the ability to interpret industry and market trends.
• Comfortable working under pressure, managing multiple priorities, and meeting tight deadlines.
• Highly motivated, detail-focused, and proactive, with a strong problem-solving mindset.
