    Job Title: Clerical Officer (3-Month Contract)

    Location: Southwest Cork

    Rate of Pay: €16.87 per hour

    Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

    Contract Duration: 3 Months

    We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Clerical Officer to provide administrative and clerical support within a busy public sector environment. This role is central to ensuring the smooth coordination of both front and back office operations, with a strong focus on service user support, documentation management, and data entry during the implementation of a new systems update.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Provide administrative support across front and back office functions, ensuring efficient daily operations.
    • Handle registration processes and maintain accurate service user records.
    • Manage and update sensitive medical documentation in compliance with data protection standards.
    • Assist with the migration and entry of data as part of a system upgrade project.
    • Assist with the administrative processing and coordination of invoice documentation, with an emphasis on clerical support rather than finance or accounts duties.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems and databases.
    • Perform general office duties including photocopying, scanning, mail handling, and scheduling.
    • Respond to enquiries and provide administrative support to staff and management as needed.

    Key Requirements:

    • Previous administrative or clerical experience in a public sector or service-focused environment is preferred
    • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
    • Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
    • Comfortable working with confidential and sensitive information.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
