Civil / Structural Engineer
Location: Macroom, Co. Cork
We are working with a Macroom-based consulting engineering company delivering high-quality civil and structural engineering services across industrial, commercial, and residential sectors. Due to a significant upcoming project in the local area, they are seeking a motivated Civil / Structural Engineer to join the team.
The Role
You will support the design and delivery of a major industrial facility project in the Macroom area. This role offers the opportunity to work on a technically challenging development within a highly regulated environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and experienced engineers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the civil and structural design of building and infrastructure works
- Prepare calculations, drawings, and technical specifications
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety requirements
About the Project
The successful candidate will contribute to a large-scale expansion of a leading international manufacturing facility in the region. Due to client confidentiality, full project details will be disclosed at interview stage.
Requirements
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- 5+ years' relevant experience (consultancy preferred)
- Experience with structural design software (e.g. Tekla, Robot, ETABS, or similar)
- Strong understanding of Eurocodes and Irish regulations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
