CAD Technician

Description
Produce accurate CAD drawings to support the Process Engineering Teams projects.
Drawings Include:
- P&ID's (2D)
- General Layout Drawings (2D & 3D)
- Detailed skid systems models (3D)
- Site Layout and detailed equipment and pipework models.
- Workshop Drawings
- Pipework Isometrics
- Weld Maps
- Slope Maps
- Material Traceability Maps
- Interact with the projects team stakeholders (Internal, Client and suppliers) to develop concepts and ideas to workable solutions.
- Maintain and contribute to company drafting standards adherence and development.
- Troubleshoot CAD software and hardware issues as they arise and share learnings with the drafting team.
- Interact with the workshop craft personnel to develop knowledge of "how to build" aseptic process systems to ensure drawings are developed with the build process in mind.
Required key skills & experience of CAD Designer
- Minimum Level 7, Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.
- Equivalent of >70% in CAD related modules.
- An understanding of mechanical/process engineering/metal fabrication projects.
- Quick learner that grasps concepts and easily adapts to different CAD software.
- Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner.
- Highly organized and ability to multi-task and manage competing needs and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to develop detailed applications proposals.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Competent computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Clean driver's license.
