We are looking for a Project Automation Engineer to join a specialized automation team in Cork. This is a position that balances high-level troubleshooting with the rigorous documentation standards of a global medical device leader.
You will work as part of a collaborative, expert group that acts as the site's technical authority for automation.
Technical Execution: Provide advanced troubleshooting for PLCs and Vision Systems to keep high-spec manufacturing lines optimized.
Validation & Documentation: Manage the planning and execution of equipment validations, ensuring all activities meet strict company policies and regulatory requirements (FDA).
Hands-on Integration: Support the introduction, debugging, and optimization of new automated equipment, including FATs and design reviews.
Technical Writing: Maintain thorough and accurate paperwork, including software validation and equipment improvement reports.
Collaboration: Partner with vendors to review equipment proposals and work cross-functionally to resolve production issues.
