11 month contract role
A leading biopharmaceutical manufacturing site is seeking a QC Sample Management Specialist to join its Quality Control team. This role focuses on the coordination, tracking, and oversight of samples within a GMP-regulated laboratory environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for QC sample and retain management activities
- Manage the lifecycle of samples, including receipt, storage, tracking, shipment, and disposal
- Coordinate sample movement across laboratory and warehouse areas, ensuring accurate documentation and traceability
- Maintain and reconcile sample inventory using LIMS and electronic systems
- Support non-conformance investigations related to sample management activities
- Ensure proper oversight of storage conditions (e.g. freezers, refrigerators) and associated maintenance schedules
- Contribute to internal and regulatory audits by providing documentation and support as required
- Prepare and maintain GMP-compliant documentation in line with site and regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Engage in daily team meetings and communicate progress on assigned tasks
Requirements:
- Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment is preferred
- Familiarity with LIMS or similar laboratory systems
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Qualifications:
- Third-level qualification in a scientific or related discipline is desirable
