Job Description

Duty Manager

A well known Waterford based hotel is recruiting for a Duty Manager to come in ans assist in the normal daily running of the hotel. The Duty Manager would be responsible for the overseeing daily operations, ensuring employee productivity, monitoring efficiency of all processes and creating a positive work environment for employees.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the current Management in the day to day running of the hotel.
  • Oversee the various departments & liaise with department heads.
  • Oversee functions and deal with any inquiries
  • .Ensure all health and safety procedures are being adhered to
  • Provide assistance with staff training in all sections of the hotel
  • Provide a professional service to customers at all times

Ideal Candidate:

  • Previous Hotel Management experience at management/supervisory level.
  • Computer literate (Hotsoft Front Office System or similar desirable but not essential).
  • An enthusiastic and professional attitude, with strong organisational and communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage a team.
  • A strong food & beverage background.
  • Ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Willing to learn from an experienced management team.
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
