Senior IT Business Analyst - Project Manager -Commercial Systems

Job Description

US-based medical device firm looking to strengthen their IT apps team. Exciting combination of requirements gathering + delivery.


  • Cultivate strong relationships with Japanese business teams, acting as a liaison between the Japan IT Business Partner and business units.
  • Develop a deep understanding of commercial processes within the Japan business teams such as Sales and Marketing, applying this knowledge to IT strategies and implementations.
  • Enhance the business analysis function through best practices, process management, mentoring, and education.
  • Manage relationships with high-level business stakeholders and collaborate with technical teams to achieve consensus on optimal solutions.
  • Manage internal and external resources to deliver Salesforce applications upgrades, customizations, and implementations on time and within budget.

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience required in the IT field.
  • Full professional proficiency in Japanese and professional working proficiency in English.
  • Project delivery lead experience with ERP, SFDC, BI/DWH, or other applications.
  • Experience working with high-level business stakeholders in a matrix organization structure.
  • Knowledge of Agile Development methodologies.
  • Good knowledge of Salesforce commercial applications.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience in identifying opportunities for process optimization and development of new processes/policies, and writing them up in a specs document.

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of the medical device/pharmaceutical industry and adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products, and IT requirements.
  • Qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to guide the business towards optimal solutions.

Personal Attributes

  • Ability to maintain clear communication channels with IT and business stakeholders.
  • Skill in explaining complex technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
