Job Description

Head of Finance Transformation, leading the journey of the end-to-end finance processes in Oracle. Hybrid working available based in West London.

Head of Finance Transformation

Seeking a Head of Finance Transformation, responsible for leading the transformation journey by defining, leading and delivering the transformation and continual improvement of the Finance core processes end-to-end.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the transformation journey by defining, leading and delivering the transformation and continual improvement of the Finance core process end-to-end.
  • Focusing on asset management and control, ensuring that the end-to-end project lifecycle is managed effectively and efficiently, enabling delivery of value potential.
  • From project initiation, funding approvals and benefits realisation to track project cost from the inception and cost management to project close; delivering, servicing and retiring of assets; including purchase commitments on OPEX spend.
  • Ensure processes fit within the control and assurance framework set by Financial Control who are accountable for the core processes.
  • Work collaboratively with the main stakeholders to define, prioritise and implement core processes transformation and continual improvement of the processes.
  • Proactively seek and make recommended improvements and respond to business requirements.
  • Play an active role in the Oracle customer community forums to learn from other organisations and influence Oracle's roadmap of future functionality.
  • Responsible for ensuring the P2R Finance core process adequately mitigates risks and maintain the controls and audit requirements set by the Financial Control function.
  • Building and delivering project plans, ensuring buy in from and alignment with key stakeholders to deliver tangible and embedded business change, and proactively manage risk. Ensuring adoption of changes in systems and procedures to drive business benefits.
  • Build and deliver communications plans and relationships internally and externally with key users and stakeholders. Including appropriate formal sign off checkpoints.
  • Accountable for maintenance of process maps, standard operating procedures, and control documentation relevant to the P2R Finance core processes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
  • Proven Systems or Programme Transformation planning and delivery experience,
  • At least 2 years' experience of leading functional teams on cloud-based, financial products.
  • Projects and Assets/Asset accounting business experience, understanding of P2R core business processes, benchmarking and best practice.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing and communication skills and be able to build relationships quickly with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive understanding of P2R core process, key financial controls and systems including Oracle
  • Ability to focus on benefits realisation, working with business service delivery teams to identify opportunities for improvements and drive to implement these changes in conjunction with those delivery teams.
