Morgan McKinley is in search of an experienced Motor Damage Claims Handler to join our partners Damage Team. As a Motor Damage Claims Handler, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of technically complex and high-profile claims, ensuring thorough and equitable investigations and efficient settlements. In addition to fostering strong relationships with our Commercial customers and relevant teams, you will also provide technical support to your colleagues when they encounter queries.

Reporting directly to the Motor Damage Manager, you will become a part of our market-leading team committed to maintaining the highest standards of collaboration, within a hybrid working environment.

Location: Dublin 4

Permanent Role

Salary: 40-45K

Hybrid: 2 days in the office, 2 days out of the office.

Minimum of 2 years' experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional claims services to our customers, ensuring accurate handling of their cases and individual inquiries.

In this role the candidate will be an escalation point within the team for complex queries. They will have some exposure to training and development of new staff where possible.

  • Manage your own portfolio of complex own damage and third-party liability claims, from initial notification to settlement, while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
  • Appoint and oversee investigators, assessors, and other relevant service providers to conduct precise investigations and assessments of claims.
  • Assist your colleagues and Manager in resolving complaints in compliance with Central Bank regulations and the Company's internal procedures.
  • Support your team in ensuring adherence to all Company quality standards and Central Bank regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with our Bodily Injury team to promptly identify potential injury claims and manage them appropriately.
  • Participate in discussions and projects focused on innovation as we transform the Claims Department.
  • Positively contribute to coaching and supporting your colleagues as they develop their own experience.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a customer-facing Motor Claims Handling role, maintaining high-quality standards while delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Knowledge of insurance contracts, particularly motor policies.
  • MCC qualified or grandfathered in Personal & Commercial Lines.

Desirable:

  • Completion of an APA, CIP, or a relevant insurance qualification to meet MCC requirements.
  • Relevant Third-level qualification.
