Job Description

A leading bank is looking to hire a Compliance Monitoring Manager, excellent salary and career progression. 3 years experience.

We're looking for someone who can:
 Be responsible for delivery of high-quality Compliance Monitoring activities across in-scope
business areas in line with Compliance Monitoring Methodology and Plan.
 Understand team capacity and capabilities to allow for effective time management and
delivery within deadlines to ensure delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan.
 Consult with the Compliance Advisory teams in order to ensure that the selection, scope
setting and approach to delivering reviews are planned and targeted effectively.
 Complete review planning, taking into consideration regulatory requirements, breaches,
complaints, Operational Risk MI and KPI information, as appropriate.
 Undertake testing; recording monitoring testing, findings and agreed actions.
 Where issues/potential issues are identified, work with the action owner to ensure that
appropriate mitigating actions are agreed and tracked through to completion within agreed
due dates.
 Draft and issue review reports to the management team of the impacted business unit(s).
 Liaise with the Compliance Advisory teams on emerging themes and review findings to allow
for focused advice to be incorporated into training requirement planning.
 On an ad-hoc basis, support the Head of Compliance Monitoring in the production of
periodic data for reporting to relevant Committees and Boards.
 Support the Head of Compliance Monitoring in completion of the annual planning process.
 Support the Head of Compliance Monitoring in maintaining the Compliance Monitoring Risk
Assessments.
 Ensure that procedures and team templates remain accurate and up to date.
 Deputise for the Head of Compliance Monitoring in meetings when required.
 Actively develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the
business to allow the Compliance Monitoring Team to be viewed as a "Challenging Partner".
 Explore opportunities to enhance efficiency, capacity and quality, i.e. using data analytics,
technology software applications.

You will need to show us that you have:
1. Have a minimum of 7 years' experience in a financial services compliance monitoring, or
audit environment, with a preference for candidates with the Compliance Institute of Ireland
diploma certification, or willing to undertake it, CIA, ACCA or ACA or Compliance equivalent.
2. Have proven experience of Compliance Monitoring, or Audit in a Financial Services or
Banking environment and clear understanding and knowledge of the regulatory and
legislative environment and control and risk management methodologies, with
demonstrable experience of managing reviews.
3. Strong understanding of process, procedure and products and the ability to identify gaps or
weaknesses in a control environment which could pose risks to the Bank meeting its
Regulatory Compliance obligations.
4. The ability to work across business areas demonstrating strong interpersonal skills, a proven
ability to build relationships and to manage and influence Senior Management in all business
engagements.
5. Clear and concise oral and written communication skills with an ability to produce and
present high quality reports.
