Job Description

Engineer required to join a busy Medical Device manufacturing project team. Opportunity to gain cross functional exposure to design, documentation, quality, validation and automation

Job Purpose

The Manufacturing Engineering department is responsible for introduction, testing, upgrades and validation of all assets on the production floor. Engineers work closely with all departments to ensure product quality; validation standards and machine efficiency are met.

As part of the role, day to day tasks will vary from review of validation documents, executing testing, reviews with other departments and training associates on SOPs or MC operation.

Responsibilities

  • Review and update validation documentation as required for your project. Change Control. Risk Assessment, User Requirement Specification, Design Specifications, Manufacturing control plans.
  • Meeting with other departments to ensure documentation meets latest standards and requirements. Quality, Validation, Automation, Process, Machine Safety
  • Execution of IQ/PQ/OQ/PV and relevant protocols and reports. Document deviations if required
  • Review and update of training material as required if new asset has different operation conditions
  • Review of risk-based documents. e.g., PFMEA & RA, and review with relevant departments
  • Updates to management of progress and/or detail any issues and delays
  • Schedule review meeting to ensure project stays on track and resources are available.
  • Learn how process works to ensure your asset will align with previous process step and future process steps

Qualifications / Experience

  • Third level degree in Engineering or similar discipline.
  • 1-3 years' experience in equipment installations/facilities/commissioning or similar
  • Self-motivated, with focus on H&S, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
  • Proven Root Cause analysis and problem-solving techniques
  • Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point and excellent organization and scheduling skills
