Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead and oversee all operational activities at their County Wexford based facility.

Overview:
Reporting to senior management, the Operations Manager will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of all port and logistics operations. The successful candidate will lead operational teams, manage customer relationships, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business.
The successful individual will have the following :
- Minimum 5 years' management experience within logistics, ports, shipping, transport, warehousing, or related operational environments.
- Advantageous: Experience within port, maritime, stevedoring, terminal, or vessel operations &/or knowledge of container lashing and securing procedures.
- Hands-on operational leader with a proactive management style.
- Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strong understanding of container handling and logistics operations.
- Experience managing large operational teams within a fast-paced environment.
- Proven leadership and people management capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational reporting systems.
- Full clean driving licence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage all day-to-day operational activities across the Port operations.
- Lead vessel discharge and loading activities, ensuring efficient turnaround times.
- Oversee container handling operations from vessel to quay and onward transportation.
- Coordinate container lashing and unlashing activities in line with vessel stowage plans and safety procedures.
- Develop and implement operational plans to achieve customer service and productivity targets.
- Ensure adequate labour, equipment, and resources are available to meet operational demands.
- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, port regulations, maritime requirements, and company policies.
- Lead, motivate, and develop supervisors, team leaders, lashers, and operational staff. (Headcount 20/25)
- Act as the primary operational contact for shipping lines, freight operators, customers, and port stakeholders.
- Monitor operational budgets and implement cost-control initiatives.
- Monitor labour productivity and equipment utilisation.
- Produce operational and management reports.
