Our client is seeking a highly motivated and strategic Software Product Owner / Project Manager to lead software development initiatives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This role focuses on embedded systems and application software, requiring close collaboration with engineering, quality, and customer-facing teams to deliver innovative, high-impact solutions.
About the Role
As the Agile Product Owner, you will define product vision, manage and prioritize backlogs, and drive delivery across software modules and subsystems. You will work across the full software development lifecycle-from concept and requirements to testing, release, and post-launch support-ensuring that products are delivered on time, to scope, and at the highest quality.
This position requires strong leadership by influence, critical thinking, and the ability to align diverse technical and business stakeholders. You will be expected to foster collaboration, resolve roadblocks, and ensure each increment delivers value to the business and customers.
Key Responsibilities

Serve as the Agile Product Owner, defining and driving product vision and execution.

Plan and prioritize product backlogs to align with strategic objectives.

Develop detailed software requirements, specifications, and user stories.

Evaluate business value and prioritize epics, stories, and themes.

Lead release planning and set delivery expectations for new features.

Identify and resolve risks and roadblocks to successful delivery.

Oversee integration of software modules across subsystems.

Define and manage service-level agreements and delivery milestones.

Provide lifecycle support, including customer engagement and post-release follow-up.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver incremental value.
About You

Proven experience as a Product Owner in Agile environments.

6+ years in software development and testing (C++ and/or C#), operating systems, and integrated hardware/software products.

5+ years across all phases of the software development lifecycle.

5+ years of Agile experience (Scrum, Kanban).

3+ years as a Product Owner or in a technical project/program management role.

Expertise in writing and prioritizing requirements and user stories.

Strong project, time management, and stakeholder management skills.

Hands-on experience with Agile tools (Azure DevOps, Jira).

Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Certified Product Owner (CSPO, PSPO or equivalent).

Experience with CI/CD tools and build systems.

Familiarity with software quality standards and best practices.
