Field Service Engineer
Location: Galway (with potential for international travel)

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a growing technical services team. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys variety, independence, and customer interaction. You'll be providing hands-on installation, calibration, training, and support for specialist equipment used in the medical technology sector.
This position involves both technical problem-solving and customer-facing training. You'll be based in Ireland, with a focus on supporting customers in Galway.
Install, calibrate, repair, and replace specialist coating machines and friction testers.
Deliver hands-on training sessions for customer teams (up to 10 people).
Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical systems.
Work in ISO-qualified cleanroom environments.
Provide service documentation and contribute ideas to improve efficiency.
Travel globally to customer sites with support from a highly experienced service team.
Technical or Engineering degree (A.A. or Bachelor's).
2-4 years' experience in field service engineering or a related maintenance role.
Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical and electrical systems (slight emphasis on mechanical).
Knowledge of ISO 13485 / ISO 9000 standards (or similar regulated environments).
Excellent communication skills and ability to train customer teams.
Independent, proactive "go-getter" attitude, comfortable with travel.
Valid driver's license and passport (or ability to obtain).
