Warehouse Operative - Multiple positions

Role Overview:
The Warehouse Operative is responsible for the safe and efficient handling of materials within the warehouse, maintaining a focus on high operational standards in safety, quality, and organization, in line with the values and culture of the company.

Shift: 4 days on and 4 days off, 12-hour shifts: 7am - 7pm and 11am - 11pm rotating. Shifts will be rostered for mid week and weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Comply with all company guidelines, policies, and procedures.

• Complete tasks according to training and established procedures.

• Follow reasonable instructions from supervisors and management.

• Operate all Mechanical Handling Equipment (MHE) safely and as per training.

• Conduct equipment checks before use and report any issues immediately.

• Ensure all goods are properly prepared and inspected for loading and unloading.

• Follow Goods In and Goods Out procedures, ensuring all checks are carried out and recorded.

• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required.

• Complete all relevant documentation accurately and promptly.

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly checks as required.

• Ensure adherence to inventory control protocols.

• Organize materials in the racking system, ensuring everything is secure, tidy, and easy to locate.

• Assist with the induction and training of new warehouse staff, emphasizing company culture and teamwork.

• Contribute to creating a positive work environment that reflects company values.

• Support and collaborate with other departments as necessary to meet operational needs.

• Maintain safety and cleanliness standards to ensure the facility is always ready for inspection.

Emergency Response & Business Continuity:

• Be part of the emergency response team.

• Attend all required Emergency Response Training (ERT) sessions.

• Become proficient in the use of Breathing Apparatus sets.

• Participate in Emergency Response Drills and contribute to on-site incident management.

• Ensure emergency response equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.

Additional Information:

• Flexibility is required to take on additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

• The warehouse operates on a rotating shift pattern, covering 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Shift patterns may change depending on business needs, with appropriate notice given in advance.
