We have an exciting opportunity for a strong EMEA Payroll Senior Manager with a prestigious Pharma company based in Dublin city centre.
This is a pivotal role, taking ownership of the day-to-day EMEA payroll function whilst leading a small team. Your role is key in supporting the wider leadership team and managing vendor relationships. You will have ample opportunity to play a strategic lead in areas such as; payroll process optimisation, robotics process automation as well as payroll transformation.

Core ownership & Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a small team of payroll professionals, ensuring their development and performance
- Develop and implement efficient workflows, ensuring EMEA payroll processes are executed on time and within established guidelines.
- Projects: Playing a leading role in all payroll projects across vendor management, systems, AI automation and payroll process improvements
- Drive system implementation and transition projects, including process optimisation and employee data management.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing best practices in international payroll management.
- Review and approve payroll changes, including tax updates, RSUs, equity, incentives, and benefits adjustments etc
- Act as the primary point of escalation for payroll issues, providing resolutions swiftly and effectively.
- Build and maintain relationships with payroll vendors, ensuring optimal service delivery.
- Collaborate with HR & Finance to reconcile payroll-related accounts and support financial audits.
- Create and present detailed reports to senior management, highlighting payroll trends and compliance updates.
Person Specification & Qualifications:
- Relevant EMEA Payroll experience and knowledge is essential
- Strong leadership experience within an international payroll environment
- Strong knowledge of RSUs, equity, and benefits-in-kind (BIKs) etc
- Proven experience with payroll project management, AI automation, multivendor management, managing system implementations or transitions is essential.
- IPASS qualification is advantageous
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills
- Strong experience working with multiple payroll vendors, ERP, payroll and HR systems
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to drive change and lead payroll from a strategic perspective
- Ability to build rapport with senior leadership team
