An exciting opportunity has arisen with a public sector client, to join a dynamic and forward-thinking team as a programme executive on a 12 month contract!
The selected candidate will be committed to delivering an Educational programme centered on educating under 18 year olds about sustainable energy as a cornerstone of climate action.
The initiative aims to be a leader in providing sustainable energy and climate change education to young people and their educators. It achieves this by offering resources and support aligned with the latest advancements in technology and government policies, both nationally and internationally. The programme provides a variety of curriculum-linked resources tailored to all levels of the education system while also engaging with stakeholders in the education and youth sectors.
Key Requirements
Essential:
- A degree (minimum Level 7 NFQ or equivalent) in Energy/Environmental Management, Education, Marketing, or Business, along with at least five years of relevant professional experience in a related field or similar role (postgraduate qualifications may be considered).
- A sound understanding of the Irish education system, particularly in areas where it intersects with sustainability and climate change education.
- A strong interest in, and knowledge of, environmental and sustainability issues, particularly within the context of education.
- Proven experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Excellent organizational, project planning, implementation, budgeting, and monitoring skills.
Desirable:
- Experience working in the education sector.
- Hands-on experience in youth engagement and outreach.
- Proficiency in the Irish language.
- Strong networking and relationship-building capabilities.
- A creative, flexible, and innovative approach to programme development and delivery.
- Effective influencing, negotiation, and representational skills.
