Job Description
The Process Engineer will optimise moulding processes, tooling, and automation solutions to meet customer and in-house requirements, ensuring compliance with all standards. This position reports to the Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead new product introductions and maintain production process specifications.
- Drive projects for continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and line extensions.
- Optimise processes using statistical tools like SPC and DOE.
- Collaborate with Production leaders to troubleshoot and resolve processing issues.
- Manage CAPA actions and customer issue resolution in partnership with Quality.
- Ensure ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 documentation and process compliance.
- Train employees on new systems and provide feedback to management.
Qualifications
- NFQ Level 7/8 Diploma in Plastics Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years in injection moulding.
- Expertise in injection mould tooling, multi-component moulding, and automation.
- Proficiency in SPC, DOE, and statistical analysis software (Minitab preferred).
- Familiarity with WCM, JIT, SMED, and lean manufacturing principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with accurate documentation experience.
