We are seeking a Contract IT Laboratory Systems Engineer to join a leading global biopharmaceutical company in the Dublin area. This is a 12 month hourly rate contract position.
The role focuses on ensuring the compliant operation and technical design of laboratory systems, working closely with QA, QC, CSV, and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure all work on Lab IT and Benchtop Analytical equipment is carried out compliantly, meeting 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annexe 11, cGLP/GMP's, and corporate/local compliance requirements.
- Actively support the introduction of new instrument systems.
- Work closely with internal departments (QA, QC, CSV, Engineering) and external laboratory suppliers/vendors to assist in configuring and commissioning benchtop equipment.
- Take ownership of equipment, managing it from delivery through to final commissioning.
Skills, Attributes & Experience:
- Degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Life Sciences
- A minimum of 4 years of experience working in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment, with specific IT experience related to laboratory instrument systems.
- Good working understanding of Windows file permissions, networking, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
- Experience with systems such as Solovpe, FIT, Osm, and Raman.
- Proven experience working in GMP Quality Management Systems in a laboratory or manufacturing setting.
- Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and customer management skills. Proven ability to work well in a team, independently, and remotely with minimum direct supervision.
