Morgan McKinley is excited to present this opportunity for a Head of Facilities to join a large corporate client based in Dublin 4, at a time of significant growth.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a fantastic team during an exciting period of growth, where you will have access to a comprehensive package within a large organisation. The Head of Facilities will hold a strategic role, managing building and facilities assets, and ensuring organisational health and safety.
You will lead a team of two (with anticipated future growth) and will be responsible for a large office in Dublin, capable of accommodating up to 1,000 workers, and a smaller hub in West Ireland.
With a large proportion of the services delivered through third party service providers you will be responsible for ensuring that the best results are achieved in a cost effective manner.
What will I be doing?
- Maintaining and developing strong relationships with external providers for facilities, securities and catering services
- Setting workplace Health & Safety strategies to ensure legislative requirements and best practices are met
- Developing roadmaps and planning ahead of optimise the facilities function
- Managing risk assessments processes to control risk and prevent accidents
- Managing the training process for all relevant health and safety training for staff onsite
- Ensuring strict management of regulatory compliance and keeping up to date with new legislations
- Working closely with senior management team to ensure procedures are being followed and issues reported
- Overseeing and facilities management projects
- Setting, reviewing and implementing appropriate service level standards
- Working closely with the finance team to track and manage budgets
What is required of me?
- A minimum of 8 years experience in a Senior Facilities leadership role
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislations
- Previous experience leading a team
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Process driven with ability to adapt quickly to changing circumstances
- Full working authorisation in Ireland
- Excellent relationship building skills
- Experience working in a corporate environment is essential
