An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Finance Business Services to join a large, well-established Irish organisation with a strong presence across Ireland and international markets.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, service delivery and ongoing transformation of a broad Finance Business Services function.
Reporting into senior Group Finance leadership, you will be responsible for developing and executing the Finance Business Services strategy while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient and cost-effective finance services across the wider organisation.
A key element of the role will be managing the relationship with an external outsourced service provider, ensuring agreed service levels, KPIs and governance frameworks are delivered effectively.
This is a high-profile leadership position offering the opportunity to shape the future of a significant Finance Business Services function, lead major transformation initiatives and play a key role in the wider Finance strategy of a large Irish organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute the overall Finance Business Services strategy.

Lead the delivery of finance services across internal and outsourced teams.

Own the service delivery and governance framework, including SLAs, KPIs and performance reporting.

Lead, develop and engage a sizeable Finance Business Services team, with a strong focus on talent development and succession planning.

Build effective relationships with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, IT and the wider business.

Manage budgets, investment decisions and cost optimisation initiatives.

Champion Finance Business Services across the organisation and continuously improve the service provided to the business.

Lead the delivery of a significant transformation roadmap alongside external service partners.

Identify and implement continuous improvement and transformation opportunities across finance processes.

Drive automation, digital finance and the effective use of emerging technologies, including AI.

Optimise and standardise core finance processes while embedding a culture of continuous improvement.

Maintain effective internal controls across Finance Business Services.

Identify and manage operational and business risks, including cyber security and business continuity.

Provide strategic input into the future development of the wider Finance Services function.

Ensure finance systems and processes continue to support the organisation's strategic objectives.
Requirements:
- An experienced Finance Business Services leader who can operate comfortably at both strategic and operational level.

Significant experience leading a Finance Shared Services, Business Services or similar function.

Experience working within an outsourced or shared services environment.

Strong service management and governance experience, including SLAs and KPIs.

Proven experience leading and developing sizeable teams.

A track record of delivering complex transformation and change programmes.

Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost.
