Morgan McKinley is delighted to be partnering with a well-established, rapidly growing logistics organisation to recruit a Customs Clearance Manager for their Dublin-based operations.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic and expanding business specialising in temperature-controlled distribution across Ireland, the UK, and Europe. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in leading customs operations and ensuring best-in-class compliance and service delivery across multiple international trade lanes.
As Customs Clearance Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day management of customs operations, ensuring all import, export, and transit activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will lead and develop a high-performing team, manage operational workflows, and act as the key escalation point for complex customs matters within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Working Hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 10:00am-7:00pm
Oversee all customs clearance activities across imports, exports, and transit movements
Ensure full compliance with Irish Revenue, HMRC, and EU customs regulations
Manage and optimise daily workflow across shared inboxes and customs systems
Act as the escalation point for complex shipments, inspections, and compliance-related issues
Lead, coach, and allocate workload across the customs team to drive performance and efficiency
Maintain and enhance standard operating procedures (SOPs) and support continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with internal teams including transport planning, operations, and customer service to resolve issues promptly
Monitor and report on key performance indicators including turnaround times, accuracy, and service levels
Minimum 5 years' experience in customs clearance, ideally within a logistics or freight environment
Strong working knowledge of Irish, UK, and EU customs procedures and regulations
Proven experience managing or supervising teams in a fast-paced operational setting
Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Experience working within an AEO-certified environment or strong familiarity with AEO compliance requirements is highly advantageous
