Who Should Apply:
We are seeking a newly qualified (NQ) Solicitor or a Solicitor with up to 3 years' Post-Qualification Experience (PQE). For NQ candidates, it is essential to have completed a banking rotation during their training contract. This role is ideal for individuals who are keen to develop their expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment, working alongside highly experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Banking Solicitor, your duties and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:
Secured and Unsecured Lending: Assisting with and advising on a wide range of lending transactions, including drafting and negotiating facility agreements, security documents, and intercreditor arrangements for both secured and unsecured financings.
Debt Restructurings and Workouts: Providing support on debt restructuring, refinancing, and workout scenarios, including advising on distressed debt and enforcement options.
Regulatory Compliance: Conducting legal research and analysis on financial services regulatory matters impacting banking transactions, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Loan Sales and Acquisitions: Assisting with large-scale loan portfolio sales and acquisitions, including due diligence, drafting transfer documentation, and advising on associated legal risks.
General Corporate Lending: Advising on general corporate lending matters, including bilateral and syndicated loan facilities.
Due Diligence: Conducting thorough legal due diligence in connection with various banking and finance transactions.
Client Advisory: Providing clear, practical, and strategic legal advice to a diverse client base, including financial institutions, corporate borrowers, and private equity funds.
Transaction Management: Assisting with the coordination and management of transactions, working closely with senior solicitors and partners.
Legal Research: Undertaking comprehensive legal research and analysis on complex banking and finance issues.
Collaboration and Business Development: Collaborating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, and supporting team know-how and business development initiatives.
Requirements:
Qualified Solicitor in Ireland.
Newly Qualified (NQ) up to 3 years' PQE.
For NQ candidates: Must have completed a banking rotation during their training contract.
Strong academic background.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
A proactive and commercial approach to legal advice.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
