Project Engineer
Looking for a project engineer in Cork with a strong 3D modelling background for an exclusive client in the marine and industrial engineering sector. Candidates with an understanding of fluid mechanics and an ability to work with cross functional teams are desired.
The Project Engineer is responsible for engineering design and projectmanagement of projects reporting to the Engineering Director. These duties will be performed under the guidance of the company's ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental and ISO 45001 OH&S Management Systems.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for the running of projects including design, planning,
pricing, quality, environmental, safety, installation and commissioning.
- Developing and maintaining customer relationships.
- Managing sub-contractors.
- Reporting key metrics to management team including budgets and project
progress.
- Resource allocation to operations and production.
- Manage projects and design products in line with the company's activities in
the storage and handling of bulk liquids, principally in fuel handling and
filtration.
- Be knowledgeable of the company Quality, Environmental and Health and
Safety policies and procedures at the induction training when they join the
company. SOP 03
- Reporting on the performance of the QEHS Management system to
management for review and as a basis for improvement of the system.
- Attend management review meetings.
- Reporting all non-conformities and corrective actions in line with SOP 10 - NonConformity, Corrective and Improvement. Carrying out health and safety and
environmental site inspections monthly.
- Be aware of the Company's legal requirements to ensure compliance with
Health & Safety and Environmental obligations during work activities.
- Be familiar with SOP12 for Waste Management and ensure any waste
generated during works is correctly identified and disposed of appropriately
