Information Security Tech Lead

My client is looking for an Information Security Tech Lead with a minimum of 8 years of experience to join their organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Act as deputy to the Information Security Manager and support day to day operations.
  
  
• Mentor and guide team members on technical security topics.
  
  
• Serve as the main escalation point for resolving technical security issues.
  
  
• Lead security improvements by assessing risks, trends, and new technologies.
  
  
• Support IT teams in implementing technical security best practices.
  
  
• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud, network, access, and other security areas.

Skills and Experience

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related discipline.
  
  
• 8+ years in technical information security roles, plus 2+ years in leadership.
  
  
• Strong background in cloud and network security, incident response, and vulnerability management.
  
  
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
  
  
• Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, CEH, CCSP, GIAC, ISO 27001, or similar.
  
  
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, proactive working style.
