The Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing Marketing Expenses and Marketing Development Funds, supporting Finance and Sales Ops internal reports and providing Claims Overages Reconciliation. The role partners closely with Sales, Marketing, Category, and Finance teams. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with thoroughness and business partnering experience. Familiarity with applying AI tools or methodologies to improve financial processes or analysis is considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Expenses and Marketing Development Funds
- Oversee end-to-end financial management of Marketing Expenses and Marketing Development Funds.
- Track and monitor all marketing spend, ensuring accurate allocation, compliance, and supporting documentation.
- Support Sales and Marketing teams with MDF accruals, funding requests, and approval workflows.
- Analyse the effectiveness and ROI of campaigns and MDF spend; recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and executive presentations
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning.
- Perform variance analysis on marketing expenses and MDF usage.
- Implement process improvements to enhance tracking accuracy and reporting speed.
Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted financial advisor to Sales, Marketing, and Operations leaders.
- Simplify complex financial matters related to Marcom and MDF for non-finance colleagues.
- Proactively engage stakeholders to drive financial discipline and maximize marketing effectiveness.
Claims Overages Reconciliation & Deal Actuals Tracking
- Lead reconciliation of claims overages for MDF, Marcom, Promo campaigns, and Performance Discounts.
- Track and analyze total deal actuals versus budgeted/committed amounts, providing transparency into deal performance.
- Maintain claims tracking systems and documentation
- Collaborate with the Distribution team to identify and analyze the main reasons for claims overages, supporting root cause analysis and process improvements.
- Partner with the Distribution team to ensure total promo reconciliation by distributor, maintaining clear communication and alignment across functions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 3-5 years' experience in FP&A, finance, or marketing funds management, ideally within FMCG or consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with marketing budget structures, fund tracking, and claims reconciliation.
- Advanced Google Sheets and Excel skills; experience with ERP and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Anaplan) preferred.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within cross-functional, multicultural teams.
- Familiarity with applying AI solutions to financial processes or analysis is an advantage.
