My client is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join their incredible organisation, with the headquarters based in Cork. This is permanent role with a hybrid working model.
This role would suit someone with at least 5 years or more of commercial experience working as a Data Engineer.
The skills required are:
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
- Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with multiple cloud platforms, tools, methodologies in the data management, reporting and advanced analytics space including Snowflake, AWS, Python, SQL and PowerBI.
- Experience designing/developing data management solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Data modelling/Data Warehousing concepts.
- Experience with building Machine Learning pipelines and Operations on a cloud platform such as AWS or Azure.
- Experience with ETL scheduling tools like Apache Airflow.
- Proven capability to develop robust reporting infrastructure to optimize the extraction, transformation, and reporting of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL, Master Data Management, Teradata/EDW, Alteryx, Trifecta, SAS, Tableau, Azure Data Factory etc.
- Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
- A successful history of manipulating, processing and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets.
- Familiarity of DevOps and MLOPs principles in addition to version control with Git
- Additional skills include motivation, enthusiasm, comfortable working in a close team environment, and the ability to set and follow clear objectives.
- Must be a self-starter who takes ownership of tasks within their remit.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. Strong attention to detail.
