Cyber Intelligence Analyst

My client is looking for a Cyber Intelligence Analyst with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their organisation based in Cork. This is a permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, analyze, and respond to cyber security events and incidents across enterprise environments.
  
  
• Investigate external and internal threats using structured investigative and threat analysis techniques.
  
  
• Support attack surface reduction through vulnerability identification, analysis, and remediation activities.
  
  
• Develop and improve detection, automation, and response capabilities across security operations.
  
  
• Document investigations, findings, and recommendations clearly to support continuous improvement.
  
  
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support 24/7 incident triage and response.

Key Skills and Experience

• Experience monitoring systems and responding to security alerts, anomalies, and threat indicators.
  
  
• Strong hands-on skills with endpoint security, digital forensics, and incident response tools.
  
  
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, logs, and traffic analysis (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
  
  
• Ability to script or query using languages such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, KQL, or SPL.
  
  
• Knowledge of malware analysis techniques, threat intelligence, and modern attack methodologies.
  
  
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
