About the Role:
Our client, a reputable public sector organisation, is seeking a capable and efficient Clerical Officer (Grade 4) to join their team on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for a candidate with strong administrative skills and a background in office support within a structured, process-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-level clerical and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
Draft correspondence, reports, and documentation as required.
Maintain and manage records, files, and data systems, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders professionally.
Support senior staff with diary management, scheduling, and general administrative tasks.
Assist with data entry, minute-taking, and document processing.
Respond to telephone and email enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a clerical or administrative role, ideally at Grade 4 or equivalent level.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
Desirable:
Experience working within the public sector or a regulated environment.
Familiarity with database systems or records management.
