Buyer

We are recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a busy manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for the procurement of direct and indirect materials and services, supplier management, and ensuring continuity of supply to support production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage supplier relationships, RFQs, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.

• Expedite orders and resolve supplier issues, non-conformances, and returns.

• Source new suppliers and identify cost-saving opportunities.

• Support dual-sourcing strategies to reduce supply risk.

• Work closely with Production, Planning, Engineering, and other stakeholders.

• Maintain accurate purchasing data within the ERP system.

• Monitor supplier performance and communicate potential supply risks.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years' purchasing experience, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

• Strong supplier management and negotiation skills.

• Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Fluent English.

• IPICS/APICS training or qualification desirable.
