Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations, including EPA guidelines.
- Prepare, review, and submit required reports to regulatory bodies (e.g., EPA, local agencies).
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure environmental compliance across all operations.

Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Management:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of WWTPs, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and adherence to environmental standards.
- Develop and implement procedures to optimize wastewater treatment processes and monitor discharge quality.
- Coordinate with WWTP teams to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues promptly.

ISO Certification Management:
- Maintain and improve ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety) certifications.
- Conduct regular internal audits and manage external audit preparations to maintain ISO standards.
- Develop and implement an Environmental Management System (EMS) to track and manage environmental objectives.

Sustainability Initiatives:
- Lead environmental sustainability projects, including waste reduction, resource conservation, and energy efficiency initiatives.
- Set and monitor targets for sustainability goals and prepare reports to demonstrate progress.

Risk Assessment and Incident Management:
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and create action plans to mitigate potential risks.
- Investigate environmental incidents, implement corrective actions, and ensure thorough documentation.

Training and Awareness:
- Develop and deliver training programs for staff on environmental policies, regulations, and sustainability practices.
- Promote environmental awareness and a culture of sustainability within the organization.

Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and external stakeholders on environmental matters.
- Represent the organization in environmental forums, regulatory meetings, and industry associations.
Key Qualifications

Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management, with specific experience in working with EPA regulations and WWTP operations.
