Daily rate contract opportunity for an ETL Test manager with an Athlone based client. Excellent daily rate, urgent requirement, immediate start possible
Job Purpose: As the ETL Test Manager, your role is to oversee and manage the testing process for an Extract Transform Load (ETL) solution within the project. You will be responsible for ensuring that all testing activities are completed on time, within budget, and within scope, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Your primary focus will be to lead the testing efforts for the ETL tool development workstream/project, addressing various challenges and making data-driven decisions. You will coordinate test planning and execution, provide status updates to senior leadership, and engage with project stakeholders. Your role involves leading the test workstream and resolving project issues creatively.
- Develop the Test Strategy and Test Plan.
- Plan, manage, and coordinate project resources for flawless UAT execution.
- Establish and maintain testing KPIs.
- Report on testing progress and defect resolution.
- Collaborate with project and functional managers to address resource constraints or challenges.
- Define test deliverables and objectives with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of all test phases within scope and budget, following Project Management best practices.
- Measure test performance and identify risks/issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Serve as the main Point of Contact for the internal QA/Validation team.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive test documentation (Test Plan & Test Report).
- Act as the primary Point of Contact for all testing-related communications across the organization.
- Gather key lessons learned and share them to enhance test planning and execution knowledge within the organization.
Essential Skills / Experience:
- Strong leadership skills for directing UAT execution.
- Experience with project administration, PMO documentation, reporting structures, and requirements.
- Problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on meeting project objectives.
- Excellent communication skills for conveying risks, issues, facts, and solutions to senior members of the organization.
- Effective facilitation skills across multiple business disciplines, organization levels, and locations.
- Team management and motivation skills to achieve project objectives.
- Experience in data migration and ETL testing.
- Experience in delivering projects in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with SAP Data Services / Information Steward, Oracle Agile PLM, SAP S4 MDG, and SAP ECC (desirable but not critical).
- Senior-level stakeholder negotiation skills
