Job Description

My client, a growing market leader based in Kerry is currently seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join their established team in a newly created position

The Role:

  • Assume ownership of the sales pipeline to ensure that sales objectives are delivered. Meet and exceed sales targets;
  • Identify and build strong relationships with customers at your assigned accounts and develop new customers in the pharmaceutical industry;
  • Maintain and strengthen relations with OEM partners in order to maximize possible synergies;
  • Support and direct current customer accounts and grow sales potential by maintaining and strengthening customer relationships;
  • Develop a strong technical understanding of the product/services and how it applies to your targets so you can effectively introduce opportunities when they present themselves;
  • Maintain constant awareness of current and planned development of new products and services. Interface with clients to keep them aware of updates;
  • Report on the quality of your sales pipeline on an ongoing basis using accurate reporting of sales information in the CRM;
  • Deliver sales presentations, direct marketing campaigns and communications at trade events
  • Adhering to all aspects of quality control, operational excellence and compliance required to deliver a quality service
  • Attend shows, seminars, conferences and meetings, as necessary;
  • Attend training and sales meetings in the UK and Ireland and Italy if required;
  • Coordinate sales efforts with corporate offices and global sales team.

The Person:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business, or related engineering field is required;
  • Direct sales experience in vision/Track and Trace system and/or pharmaceutical packaging machinery;
  • Focused customer-driven approach, able to identify/evaluate customers' needs and recommend integrated inspection solutions;
  • Capability to present a proven track record of sales success and territory leadership;
  • Ability to manage a pipeline, accurately forecast and meet or exceed annual sales quota assignments;
  • Strong business acumen and ability to understand how our client's business works;
  • Individual with strong relationship building and reputation building skills. Ability to develop relationships internally and externally;
  • Positive and confident communicator;
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively;
  • Must possess a valid passport with no VISA restrictions to Europe;
  • Clean driver's license in good standing.
