Job Description

I am looking to speak to junior candidates or recent IT graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in the IT Audit and Cyber Security space.

This new role has come available with a client based in Co. Kerry, who are expanding their Audit and Regulatory Management (ARM) team.

The successful candidate will be fully trained in this area over a long period of time, no previous experience is required, just a good attitude and prove you have the ability to learn.

The client does require candidates to be as close to Kerry as possible in the near future.

The following are the skills and responsibilities associated with the role:

Some Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that all Information Security audit requests are recorded and tracked.

  • Supporting the facilitation and co-ordination of audit activities,

  • Gathering required evidence, under the direction of the ARM Sr Specialist.

  • Meeting with auditors, compiling auditor requests, engaging with evidence providers, collecting evidence, and preparing this for review by ARM Management.

  • Develop a basic knowledge and understanding of the information security controls and associated risks.

  • Supporting the maintenance of the ARM Evidence Repository.

  • Supporting the use of our central ARM tool and taking responsibility updating key attributes on a regular basis.

  • Participating in various ARM Projects.

  • Assist with other ARM activities requested by management, clients, auditors, and regulators, as needed.

  • Continuously ensure professional development.

Skills:

  • 0-2 years of experience with Information Security and / or Infrastructure IT audits.

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Information Systems/Technology, Science or Engineering preferred; Exposure to and interest in the field of computer science, audit and associated subject matter

  • Possess basic knowledge of information security controls, risks, and best practices in a banking environment.

  • Possess basic knowledge of Cyber Security regulations and information security best practices and industry frameworks.

  • Possess basic knowledge of IT Auditing, the core concepts, audit process, types of audits.

  • Strong interpersonal skills.

  • Work well as part of a team
