This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Trade Marketing Manager with FMCG experience to join this reputable company in the alcohol industry

Role: Customer Marketing & Digital Manager (Trade Marketing Manager)

Location: Dublin / Hybrid

Duration: Permanent

Our client is a leader in the Alcohol industry, they are looking for a Customer Marketing and Digital Manager to join their vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building increased consumer desirability for the company's brands, optimizing sustainable brand value and profitable brand performance through implementation of customer facing brand activation's

You will support the distributor marketing and sales teams in delivering consistent trade marketing programmes across all key brands and channels. You will take leadership in developing the in-outlet campaign and assets, setting and agreeing appropriate KPIs, measuring activity performance and recommending any changes or improvements for future activities.

Responsibilities

  • In partnership with the distributor brand marketing and sales team, lead the development and implementation of the annual trade marketing plans for the company portfolio with a focus on creating added value promotions in retail and convenience as well as engaging brand activations
  • Ensure clear and consistent cross market language and definitions for customer types, and deliver support materials appropriate for each segment
  • Ensure plans are rooted in clear brand and channel strategy, are consumer and trade focused and support longer term brand building as well as the shorter-term commercial requirements.
  • Develop a good understanding of the market consumer and customer as well as knowledge of the retail and on-trade / RTM channels.
  • Ensure rigorous tracking and monitoring of brand activations. Be able to make recommendations and improvements to strategy and execution based on performance analysis as well as learnings from previous activities.
  • Support distributors in managing marketing agencies, through clear briefs and development compelling promotions and activations using where appropriate.
  • Support the setting of clear processes in distributors -to ensure all element of brief and delivery of agreed promotions are on time, on budget and at the quality level required and always ensuring that the output is delivering against brand positioning and guidelines.
  • Ensure digital is integrated into the trade marketing key initiatives and is integrated with ATL activity, be a source of knowledge on e-commerce best practice and best practice usage of any relevant CRM programs.
  • Educate distributors to conduct analysis into sales performance and category data to support customer sell-in as well as track promotional success.

Requirements

  • Excellent communicator, with strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task
  • Experienced trade marketing manager (essential) within alcohol sector (highly desirable) ideally with broad international experience.
  • Understanding of marketing strategy, commercial and channel strategy, investment planning, trade and consumer marketing.
  • Experience of agency management and budgetary responsibility.
  • Excellent communication and IT skills ( PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Understanding of the spirits markets in EMEA APAC.
