Job Description

I am delighted to be working with a well respected medical device company who wants to take their product portfolio to the next level.

As a result of this, they are seeking to attract a best in class senior validation engineer to be part of the growing NPI team. The successful candidate will be part of a team who love what they do and work within an exciting and ground breaking product development group.

This person will lead activity on product performance and testing analysis of a complex electro-mechanical drug infusion currently in R&D phase. This is a permanent opportunity based in South Dublin.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years experience leading or supporting product development projects.

  • Level 8 Degree in either Mechanical, electronic, biomedical or systems engineering or a related discipline.

  • Implementation of product changes through a structured product development process.

  • Experience in lead device verification desirable.

  • Exposure to multiple test products.

  • Experience with design best practices.

  • Proficiency in statistical methods/tools.

  • Ability to provide analytical reasoning.

  • Work exceptionally well as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead activities such as test method and measurement system development and validation, fixture design and testing optimization.

  • Planning and execution of technical project work to gain understanding of underlying technical issues and root causes and propose and implement solutions.

  • Cross collaboration with the design and development team, systems engineering team and any other divisions relevant to ensure product requirements are testable and measurable.

  • Critically evaluate and analyse system performance and reliability to ensure the design space is adequately pressure tested to satisfy user, regulatory and business requirements.

  • Implement DFSS rigor throughout the design selection and development process.

  • Document novel test methodologies and provide feedback and recommendations for product/design changes.

  • Adhere to GLP for product testing and GDP through planning, performing, monitoring, recording and reporting on product testing.

  • Ensure compliance with quality policies, procedures and practices.
