Role:

• Assist in the implementation of Group accounting policies, resolve accounting queries on new products, group projects, major business lines and organisational events and analyse the accounting for complex transactions.
• Support decision makers on strategic initiatives, proposing solutions that optimise the Group's objectives while encompassing transparent financial reporting.
• Support the development of the Group's external financial reporting through reviews of new disclosures and the development of disclosures that are driven by the implementation of new or modified accounting policies.

Candidate:

• Experience in the preparation / audit of financial statements under IFRS with either a major global accountancy practise or a large banking group, demonstrating the drive and commitment to deliver outcomes in tight reporting deadlines.
• An ability to communicate technically complex information to non-technical individuals.
• Strong interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as researching technical issues and formulating accounting conclusions in a timely manner and to a high standard.
