This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join a growing global ecommerce platform as they continue to expand during these times of increased online shopping.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Sales Engineer to join a growing global ecommerce platform as they continue to expand during these times of increased online shopping.

You will be working and owning the technical and operational design on the client life cycle from presales to delivery. Client interaction and concise consultive skills are key to the success of one-time project delivery. This role will also offer the opportunity to progress into lead roles, sales or product management for the right candidate.

What you'll be doing:

  • Provide technical & operations support to sales during the client pre-sales phase of the client engagement process.
  • Document client solution requirements concisely and accurately, to ensure product and client implementation teams have absolute clarity.
  • Working with Product Management, to complete high-level client requirements to input into product development requests.
  • Provide input to the client Implementation schedule, ensuring all requirements are delivered for the client.
  • Ongoing management of client expectations against product and functionality release schedules.
  • Report on the overall progress and health of the client projects in progress including identifying areas of non-compliance to formal project methodology.
  • Manage the client relationship from the pre-sales phase through to project go live.

What you will need:

  • 5-7 years in a client technical management role ideally within an ecommerce or development environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Technology/Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Working knowledge of B2C ecommerce solutions.
  • Manage and track projects, programs, and initiatives that support company strategic objectives.
  • Project Management experience or the management of multiple projects.
  • Knowledge of B2C eCommerce processes and technology solutions, including web stores, payments, and distribution platforms.
  • Capable of leading consultative workshops with Clients to determine best fit solution for the client.
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, Product and Client Success Teams to ensure a clear understanding of client requirements and that the organization is consistently meeting the client's expectations
  • Structured approach to specifying, documentation, and planning.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills.
